Raise the Bär: BJB Global Student Innovation Program

The program aims to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurial talent who are keen to establish themselves in the private banking space.

Participants will be part of a 6-week hybrid global program and gain access to the tools and knowledge needed to refine their project ideas. After the bootcamp, teams will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of esteemed judges from Bank Julius Baer and Tenity as well as receive a certificate of participation by Julius Baer.  

The teams in the bootcamp will receive mentorship and insights from industry professionals to further refine and execute their project on real users. Additionally, they will have the privilege of working alongside the BJB Launchpad team.

At the end of the program, the winning team from the bootcamp may have the opportunity to continue developing their project for internal use.

Challenge 1. Gen AI for AML /KYC:

How can we leverage on Generative AI to enhance the anti-money laundering (AML) alert resolution, by providing context to the Compliance Officer. Leveraging on transactional data, product risks, as well as Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Screening data, offer a 360 view on the client, guiding the compliance officer towards an efficient alert remediation.

Challenge 2. Data and AI for Fixed Income Products:

How might we leverage the power of data, machine learning, and generative AI to accurately match fixed income products with less active clients, enhancing their investment experience and strengthening our relationships with them?
