Nordics & Baltics Climate FinTech Incubation Batch 1

This program is for cutting-edge climate fintech & insurtech startups with exciting solutions. The goal is to support these promising startups by providing training, coaching & mentoring on a variety of topics in order to foster and strengthen the teams, and to secure successful business and investment opportunities ahead.

The program provides exposure and introductions to leading organizations, banks, corporates, fintechs, advisors, and investors – all driven by the urge to finding, collaborating with, and investing in, new solutions for improving sustainability, climate, and impact issues.

We are incubating early-stage climate/green fintech & insurtech startups delivering impact, that have early customer traction, with a prototype solution, MVP, or as a pilot. During this 5-month intensive program, they will go from your early stage to business-ready stage, and to become more attractive for seed-investors.

Requirements

Focused on the financial industry

You are a climate-focused Fintech, Insurtech, or a RegTech, DeepTech, Web3, LegalTech, or Crypto Finance startup with use case for the financial industry.

Validated Prototype

You have a validated problem as well as a prototype or MVP of your solution. You do not need to be incorporated to apply.

You have a founding team

Building a startup is hard and we believe that no person can do it by themselves. While you may apply as a solo-founder, you would need to find a cofounder before the program starts, as we do accept teams and not solo founders.

Climate Fintechs are enabling, empowering, and accelerating the financial sector towards a more sustainable future. We will cover its development, the status, and the recently emerged classification of different business areas.

Regulatory Overview

From EU’s taxonomy, institutional initiatives and guidelines, bank and finance principles, environment risk analysis, via operational ESG analyses, to consumer behavior. The regulatory landscape is quite complex and we will deep dive into the area.

Future Perspectives

The area is predicted to grow significantly – both in terms of increasing importance, but also in business opportunities.
