SwissHacks 2025: Building on 2024 success to deliver even greater impact

Zurich, 20 January 2025 – SwissHacks,Switzerland’s premier fintech and innovation hackathon, is back for its 2025 edition – promising to be a milestone event for collaboration, creativity, and emerging talent. Building on the success of SwissHacks 2024, which brought together 100 participants from six countries, this year’s edition aims to double in size, with up to 200 participants from diverse backgrounds tackling cutting-edge challenges.

Organized by the Swiss Financial Innovation Desk (FIND) and powered by Tenity, SwissHacks 2025 is a leading Swiss government-driven hackathon officially endorsed by the Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN), the organizers of Singapore Fintech Festival and Point Zero Forum.

The hackathon unites creative minds, developers, designers, entrepreneurs and innovators to tackle real-world challenges and transform concepts into actionable solutions that carry on beyond the weekend of the hackathon.

 

Official endorsement by the Global Finance & Technology Network

SwissHacks 2025 is officially endorsed by GFTN. This endorsement highlights SwissHacks as a key platform for innovation, further solidifying its reputation in the global fintech ecosystem. Challenges driving innovation

SwissHacks 2025 actively fosters public, private, and academic collaboration, offering unique opportunities for cooperation.

This year’s edition will, for the first time introduce a challenge defined by Innosuisse,marking a significant step in fostering public-private collaboration for innovation. In addition, the hackathon will feature a variety of highly relevant challenges by leading partners, to be revealed soon, ensuring diverse opportunities for participants to address pressing industry problems.

Winners taking the stage at Point Zero Forum 2025

SwissHacks 2025 doesn’t end with the Closing Ceremony. Winners of SwissHacks 2025 will earn the opportunity to:

  • Present their innovations on the main stage at Point Zero Forum (5-7 May 2025), the global gathering for fintech and public sector leaders in Zurich.
  • Join an exclusive Investor Night side event during Point Zero Forum, connecting directly with investors and industry leaders.

These opportunities underscore SwissHacks’ mission to provide visibility and support for emerging innovators.

 

Early-bird pre-registration now open

Applications for SwissHacks 2025 officially open from 13 February 2025. However, pre-registration is now open for early-bird participants keen to secure their spot.
